As of 5/12/17 this power set no longer applies.

One of the powers Yurio has is a hypnotic effect that occurs while he's skating. People who see him skate will feel the compulsion to keep watching him and may also feel compelled to protect him—possibly even to a comical extent! That said, it's going to be very hit or miss while he's learning to control it, and as such this is 100% opt-in. If you don't reply here to opt-in, I'll assume it simply isn't in effect with characters you play unless you reference it in your tags.

If you do opt in, effects of the power can include some or all of the following:
-A desire to continue watching him skate
-A sense of infatuation with him
-An urge to protect him
-Actively worrying about threats to him that may or may not actually exist

These effects are all strongest when Yuri is practicing or performing a routine, and low if he's just skating around town. For example someone could be unable to look away from a performance, but would just turn their head to watch him for a block or two skating around town. The feelings of infatuation and protectiveness get more leeway and vary in intensity from person to person—whatever is most fun for you as a player is fine! That's really the goal of the feelings-based effects; something fun for people to play with. :>

Finally! The effect is temporary and will begin to fade out as soon as Yuri stops skating. It's up to players how quick that is. If you want it to instantly stop, that's cool. If you want a slow fade over a few minutes, that's also cool.

Hannibal is the ultimate hipster so of course I have to opt-in. I personally don't care about how creepy the "a sense of infatuation" thing with him gets, but I'll let you draw the line in the sand. The furtherest Hannibal would go is probably killing someone that would beat Yuri in competition, but nothing on the romantically creepy side since that is strictly OOC for his particular canon.

Otherwise, go to town.

I want you to know my reaction went exactly thus: "Who could even beat YurioHNO RINKMATES"

Which is to say that sound amazing, and if you would ever like Hannibal to make an attempt on either Yuuri or Viktor's life (successful or not), Viktor's player at least is super down for that. Or NPCs are also an option.

But in general I am fine with just seeing where things go naturally!

EDIT: ALSO IT OCCURS TO ME, TEN HOURS LATER, THAT MAYBE INFATUATION WAS POOR WORD CHOICE ON MY PART. I definitely don't expect romantic levels of anything as a result of this power, especially since Yurio is 16 and a lot of the rest of the game is adults. So don't worry about any expectations there! I'll try to think of a better word to replace that with, but my intent with this power is just to generate platonic levels of interest in him as a non-creepy mirror to the eros ability (very similar, but with romantic/seduction themes) Viktor and Yuuri have.

I'd actually love to make attempts on their lives, however successful, because they'll come back and hannibal won't know what to do about that.

Oh, I just meant to say that his creepiness won't veer into that realm since he is quite the esteemed killer. I understood what you meant with infatuation I just wanted to make sure you know that I wouldn't try anything you haven't consented to OOCly or that is as seriously damaging as a romantic infatuation from Hannibal. Though he might act fatherly since his hobby is making murder families.

But Viktor might deal with that since he has Eros, oops. Jk jk but it would be kind of hilarious.
